I have a Calloway rangefinder (rebadged Nikon) plus a Skycaddie SG5 and use them both - horses for courses.
The Skycaddie is particularly useful when you don't know the course - showing you hole layout, hazards etc (as long as you remember to download the course!). Or when you just want a general distance (285 yards left to the centre of the green, no 'hidden' obstacles, I need a 175 yard club to leave me a pitching wedge.
The Calloway Rangefinder is perfect to tell me whether the pin is 90, 100, 110 yards away (can mean the difference between 1 or 2 putts - or sometimes 3 !).
I have both and love them. If I could only have one I'd go for the range finder and, for a new course, a course guide.

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of completely unique content I've either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being stolen? I'd definitely appreciate it.

I must admit, judging distance has always been the weak point of my game and have been thinking of trying one of these types of aides. Its a fair few pennies though for a hobby golfer, maybe time to start my xmas list up again
